Space Derby
This is Grant's first year in Cub Scouts. He has enjoyed it so far. Saturday was the Space Derby. The boys raced rockets they had built. Grant was so excited that morning. I was proud of his work. He had drawn out his design, named the design- the "wingable flyer", helped shape the wood and did a lot of the painting. He ended up placing 2cd in three heats and 3rd in one heat. All of the boys received an award for their ship- Grant's was for the "Fiercest Design"since his ship looked like a shark.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this! Sounds like it was really fun for Grant. I really don't know what Scouts (girls or boys) really "does" other than meet. It was neat to see this. I can see why boys like it so much!
