Rainy, Rainy, Rainy Day

Wow. It was quite a day. It rained so much. I heard from my mother in law that our city received 7.23 inches today. Our back yard looked like a raging river. Roads were closed all across our county. Thankfully, Grant's school is dismissed daily by 1:00, so I was able to pick him up with only one closed road to detour around.




There were some bright spots in the dreary day filled with wet vacuuming the den and sweeping water out of the garage.
Look at this face. He loved his new raincoat passed on from Auntie Beth.



It took Todd two hours to make it home from his office, which is 20 minutes from the house. We were all very thankful to see him walk in the door. I was a little worried about his tiny little car getting swept away. Oh, what a day.
