My story

Taking the 5 minute Friday challenge today...

GO
I love to hear stories. Big ones, meaningful ones, silly ones.  Todd is a great story teller. Usually the tales become a little flashier each time, but he shares moment of his life with such enthusiasm that people are drawn in. It's fun to watch, even when I've heard the story before.

What typically draws people in to Todd's stories is the joy he has sharing them. Even though my life may not be filled with big flashy moments, it's still my story. I want to embrace it. Not compare or wish or regret or apologize. Just live my story. Listen to God for what's next. Share it with enthusiasm, joy and gratitude. And while I'm living my story, I want to listen to the stories of the people around me. They all matter.

  1. Thanks for visiting, Sandi! I loved reading your Story! "I want to embrace it. Not compare or wish or regret or apologize. Just live my story." Amen! Isn't this the story of every woman's life. Lord, help us embrace every moment of our story. :)

  2. SO hard not to compare to others' stories - but if we all had the same story it would be so boring. Great 5 minutes of writing!

  3. Yay! Just spotted your lovely face while on Lisa-Jo Baker's blog! (currently engaging in my daily blog-hunting for the MORF Twitter feed)

I'm going to echo Stephanie and Marissa in loving this: "Not compare or wish or regret or apologize." Oh yes. That is so hard.

And you are such a great storyteller and listener, friend, something I admire and cherish.

  4. Here from the 5 Minute Friday! It's hard fro me not to compare myself to others, or long to be a part of their story. I am still learning to embrace the story God has for me. Have a beautiful day.
