Greek Festival

The Greek Festival has become a family tradition. This year, since Todd was going to be in Chicago for business on the Festival dates, the boys and I went down for Friday lunch. As always, everything was delicious. And I did bring Todd back a piece of baklava, because I'm sweet like that. :)

Birmingham Greek Festival

Dolmathes (Grape leaves stuffed with seasoned rice and meat)-- $5.00
Souvlakia (Marinated lamb)--$9.00
Loukoumathes (Greek donuts) and Greek Coffee --$6.00
Advice from the Greek Ya-Ya (grandma) serving the donuts to "take that baby out of that thing (the sling) right now- it's not good for his legs" -- priceless

What a fun day! Grant and Todd went down on Thursday for a field trip and since I really wanted to go and they had such a great time, we decided to go back on Saturday. The food was delicious, the music was great, the dancing was fun to watch, the church was beautiful and who can beat free advice? :)
